Our butcher is here to give advice on what cuts to use and provide inspiration for
delicious meals for the whole family.
All our meat is available in a size that suits you. So if you are after one sausage or a
joint for 20 we can cater for you. Please don't be afraid to ask if you are not sure.
Beef
The beef comes from our own farm here in Chedworth. It's the same stock we've
had since we first came to the village in 1928 as we use our own calves to
re-stock. Our beef cattle are Friesian cross with Aberdeen Angus or Meuse Rhine
Yssel
Pork
Our Pork is all Gloucester Old Spot Cross, free range and reared locally. We have
Old Spot cross as it's a better meat. Pure Gloucester Old Spot can be a bit fatty.
Lamb
Our Lamb is free range and is also reared locally.
Chicken
Our chicken are all free range and are from Madgetts farm near Chepstow.
